Cheered from the balcony of the theatre by a large crowd in Gutenbergplatz. Both the square and the Gutenberg-statue are lit by torches. Songs and poems are performed.
June 1842 In Rome, Thorvaldsen receives five crates with plaster models of works executed in Denmark that are to be carved in marble.
