This fragment is only known from Thiele’s transcript. It is most likely a draft of the letter of 18.6.1806, in which Thorvaldsen also thanks Abildgaard for his consideration for Gotskalk Thorvaldsen.

I.e. Abildgaard. The draft is undoubtedly intended for Abildgaard as Thorvaldsen here uses the form of address that he also used in his other letters to his teacher at the academy.
Thorvaldsen is referring to Abildgaard’s help in connection with Gotskalk Thorvaldsen’s admission to Vartov, which Abildgaard had mentioned in his previous letter of 19.10.1805. See also the related article herom.
