Kind friend! I seize this opportunity to let you know that your portrait bust commissioned from me has already long been finished in marble. For this I have received 20 Scudi and so have 80 Scudi owed to me –
You remember that as a friend and compatriot I have granted you the mentioned bust for half of what I usually get for such a one, and consequently I hope you find my request reasonable: to pay as soon as possible the mentioned sum of 80 Scudi owed to me –
Kind regards to your dear family – farewell! Yours
faithfully,
C.F. Høyer
