Comment on 22.10.1808
It appears from the deletion that Herman Schubart (who also wrote and probably encouraged writing the letter) on that very day had given Thorvaldsen the amount stated for the above-mentioned Baptismal Font on behalf of his sister, Charlotte Schimmelman. Schubart was in Rome from the beginning of October to the beginning of November 1808, cf. the note on the word here in the first line above.
