Comment on Transportation of Thorvaldsen's Artworks to Copenhagen 1828
Thorvaldsen had been informed of the arrival of the merchant vessel Therese at Leghorn in the following letters:
- Letter dated 22.6.1827 from J. C. Ulrich to Thorvaldsen (asking Thorvaldsen to send his crates in advance for storage in Leghorn).
- Letter dated 17.9.1827 from C. F. Hansen to Thorvaldsen (stating that the ship will arrive at Leghorn in January).
- Letter dated 9.11.1827 from J. C. Ulrich to Thorvaldsen (stating that the ship was then in Tunis).
- Letter dated 28.11.1827 from J. C. Ulrich to Thorvaldsen (stating that the ship had arrived at Leghorn and was now in quarantine).
- Letter dated 4.12.1827 from Johan Gunder Adler to Hermann Ernst Freund (stating that the ship may soon be expected at Leghorn).
