Comment on Christian 8.'s Loan from Thorvaldsen
The biannual interest payments were disbursed in April and October. This means that in fact three, and not two, of these due dates fell between Thorvaldsen’s letter calling in the loan, dated 9.12.1826, and Adler’s letter dated 12.8.1828. The reason for this discrepancy remains undetermined.
