This morning went with young Warren and Grant to Thorwaldsen’s studio and saw his fine statue of Byron. ’Tis good as a history. I saw three or four rooms of stone things, but nothing else to look at. Then to the Barberini Palace and saw the Beatrice Cenci of Guido and the Fornarina of Raffaelle.
