Il commendator Thorvaldsen è ben dispiaciuto di non poter passar la sera presso di lei, come aveva sperato, ma un male al piede, ch’egli credeva sarebbe guarito ben presto gli vieta di lasciare la casa già da dieci giorni. In questa occasione si fa un dovere di parteciparle che ha già terminato il bozzetto del monumento, e che le sarebbe ben grato se ’ ella volesse onoralo di una visita per esaminare il bozzetto medèsimo.
