Kjære Hr. Etatzraad!
Etatzraaden holde mig tilgode; thi ieg troer immer, rigtigst; at enhver bliver i sit Fag – Lev vel beær mig med Deres Befalinger

I have rightly received your two letters the one of December 28th as well as the one of February 3rd – According to the latter mentioned I learn that you, Sir wish to wait and see before you decide to dispatch anything from Rome – which I find very reasonable – Considering time and the circumstances I have sold at a low price the figures which you know I had offered to the Building Commission for Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen – and which now belong to N.V. Lately I have had the pleasure hopefully to contribute to the happiness of Mr Rauch by expressing in my letter to the King of Prussia regarding the invitation to the queen’s monument that I found it was unfair to compete with the artists of his own country – As a consequence of this Mr Rauch was at once instructed to come to Berlin – Besides, as for me I live as usual and at present enjoy myself modelling a Cupid. I have been meaning to bring the good Mr Schmidten to Pr. Poniatowski, but he has not returned yet. The signors Antonino and Balmoroli Palmaroli are in good health and most cordially send their regards that I in few lines repay your very entertaining long letters you must make allowance for; for I think it is ever best that everyone sticks to his line. Take care of yourself and favour me with your orders
Yours faithfullyT
The latest information from S.T. Baron Schubart has it that he goes to Denmark on April 15th – and intends to return again – to Italy; his secretary signor Olinto and the little Friderico Zoëga go with him.-
According to your usual firmness and courage – it probably won’t be long before you, Sir set out on your home journey – and so I wish that on your arrival to the native land – you may have just as much success as you ever have the most enterprising kindness to promote art – I thank you very much for your entertaining and interesting letters – May you ever take care of yourself. Favour me with your orders; Yours very sincerely,
