[...] Thorvaldsen has rebelled against his BaronessI, thrown away the carpets, you never saw such disorder, some ladies whom I presented to him yesterday were surprised at his dirty appearance, he has declared that he will not go back with her to Copenhagen. This conduct altogether threw her ill, she would not see anyone for days, but now she goes about with him as before and he told me he will go and come back to Rome. The fact is that he is an old fool. He has modelled two apostles (Thaddaeus and Andrew) since his returnII, large as those you saw and works every day with great vigour. [...]
