Abstract

Ronchetti thanks Thorvaldsen warmly for the bust of Lord Byron, who will now live on not only through his writings but also in Thorvaldsen’s portrait. He writes that the bust is admired by the wise and the stupid alike. Anyone who sees it praises the artist. Ronchetti will do his best to respond to the gift.

General Comment
