The first letter of the word is difficult to decipher. In the context, the best solution would be to transcribe it as “block” [blokke], meaning that the marble for Christ, cf. A82, is carved from one piece, while Thiele – more poetically – suggests that the marble is “like a bell” [klokke] (cf. Thiele III, p. 344). As the word “from” is quite clear, Thiele’s interpretation must be rejected.
