Comment on The country bumpkin and the donkey-rider in the service of art and freedom
Both Koch and Thorvaldsen were among the many coauthors responsible for the critical tract Drei Schreiben aus Rom gegen Kunstschreiberei in Deutschland, Dresden 1833 (https://sammlungen.ulb.uni-muenster.de/ob/content/titleinfo/587088). Thorvaldsen was dyslexic, and presumably for that reason, had no desire to write any more than absolutely necessary; cf.
