Comment on Efter 21.9.1805
It is difficult to decipher the name, but it seems likely that it says “Reeberg”, and in that case it is probably the German painter Friedrich Rehberg, who was in Rome in e.g. 1804-12, and whom Thorvaldsen knew at any rate in 1818, when Rehberg drew a portrait of him, D1668.
