At the request of Angelo Maria Ricci, among others, Thorvaldsen models a portrait medallion of Lucrezia Ripanti.

  • Else Kai Sass: Thorvaldsens Portrætbuster, Copenhagen 1963-65, Vol. II, p. 312-315. It was Sass, who first became aware of Thorvaldsen’s posthumous excution of Countess Rapanti’s portrait medallion. Today neither the original model nor its possible execution in marble is known.
