Thorvaldsen’s Roman birthday is celebrated by the Society of Danish Romans at Christianshavns Borgerdydsskole without the sculptor’s presence. Prologue by Jørgen Jørgensen, a song by H.C. Andersen and another one about Rome and Thorvaldsen by Henrik Hertz are sung.
