Thursday June 9th; had a letter from Christian! Was again at the picture gallery. – In the afternoon I saw the wrecked town hall, took a walk on Brühl’s-Terrasses and at Dahl’s was in company with two young Germans, Aal and Faye. We had a proper supper, not poetic as at Tieck’s, with tea and
poetry. – Dahl asked me to write in his album, where Tieck, Thorvaldsen and Göthe had written. He gave each of us two sketches and quickly drew one of us a fir, the other a beech with a piece of a menhir, me, however, »a girl«. It was half past 10, but I came home well, the lion was my lighthouse. –
