I Følge Deres Excellences mig tilkiendegivne Ønske om at modtage af mig en skriftlig Erklæring angaaende den Sum som vil tilkomme mig for de hos mig i Aaret 1820 bestilte 2de. Basrelieffer i Marmor til Frue Kirke, skulde jeg ikke undlade allerærbødigst at meddele, til Efterretning for de Herrer, som, paa Deres Excellences og Hrr Conferentsraad Holtens Opfordring, havde tegnet sig for at bidrage til dette Arbeides Anskaffelse, at alt hvad der i den Anledning allerede er indkommet eller endnu maatte indkomme af den dertil bestemte Sum af 4000 Specier, skiænkes og overdrages af mig til at fremme Opførelsen og Indretningen af det Museum, som skal opbevare de af mig til Staden Kiøbenhavn skiænkede Kunstsager, og tillader jeg mig at tilføie den Bøn, at bemeldte Sum maa paa vedkommende Sted blive indbetalt.

Following Your Excellency’s wish made known to me, that you want to receive from me a written statement regarding the amount of money, which is due to me for the in 1820 from me commissioned two bas-reliefs in marble for the Church of Our Lady, I most humbly beg to inform you, for the information of the gentlemen, who requested by Your Excellency and Konferensråd Holten had subscribed for an amount to the purchase of this work, that all, which has already been received or may yet be paid in of the sum of 4,000 Species intended for this will be donated and made over by me to promote the establishing and organizing of the museum, which is to keep the objects of art donated by me to the City of Copenhagen, and I venture to add the request that the mentioned sum may be paid at the place concerned.
