Kommentar til Jasons skæbne - Om Thomas Hope, hans huse og hobbies

Foruden busterne forestillende Hope-familien henvises her summarisk til følgende portrætterede briter i Thorvaldsens Museums samlinger: Lord Byron og Walter Scott blandt forfatterne, og blandt gentlemen og noblemen samt deres pårørende ses Thomas Maitland, George Granville Leveson Gower, Edward Pellew, William Cavendish Bentinck, Alexander Baillie, Lord Wriothesley Russell?, Georgiana Elisabeth Russell, Edward Divett, Mary Ann Montagu, Eliza Glenorchy?, Georg Wilhelm Wilding, Catharina di Branciforte, John Wyllie Giovanna Nugent, Charles James Patrick Mahon?, George Hilaro Barlow, Henry Labouchére, George Agar Ellis, John Campbell?, Jane Craufurd, Anne Bingham?, Harriet Frances Pellew, Elizabeth Vernon?, Georgina Bingham?, Anne Countess of Newburgh, Georg Wilhelm Wilding, George Hilaro Barlow og Thomson Henry Bonar. Inv.nr. A297 er indtil for nylig antaget at forestille Francis Basset, men viser sig at forestille grev Cristino Rasponi, jf. Thorvaldsens Museums arkiv, I.nr. 13.35/2000. Desuden rummer museets samlinger originalmodeller til gravmonumenter bestilt af adelsfamilierne Garrard, Radcliffe og Lawly.
