London Decr 23. 1815.

Dear Sir

I fully hoped that your Hebe would, before this time, have been upon its passage to me, but I am sorry to learn from M.r Irvine that it was not compleated when he wrote. – M.r Millingen writes me that you promised him it should be compleated in two months. I trust that nothing will prevent this being the case as I am extremely impatient to recieve this delightful remembrance of your talents, & I doubt not but that I may rely upon your finishing it so as to be worthy of your fame & I hope not a little to add to it in this country. I heartily congratulate you on the return of Peace, & also on the return to their native country of all your divine works of Antiquity. I hope I shall sometime or other see them again where they now are & I assure you it will be no small additional ach[i]evement to me, to pay another visit to your study – wishing you all possible success

I remain   Dear Sir   faithfully Yr

Sam. Boddington
