Comment on Ultimo februar 1804
Thorvaldsen’s teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts, the painter Nicolai Abildgaard informed him, in a letter of 17.1.1804, that his mother, Karen Thorvaldsen had died on 7.1.1804 and was buried in Nikolaj churchyard in Copenhagen.
